DSC Cricket offer a full refurbishment service for your cricket bat. It is a comprehensive service which includes any blade repairs, a sanding and oiling of the blade, polish, new anti-scuff sheet and a new grip.

DSC Cricket offer a cricket bat knocking in service. Your cricket bat will be oiled, fully knocked in and anti-scuff sheet applied.

Cricket bat handles can break without warning. A re-handle and restringing of the new handle includes a clean up and polish of the top 6 inches of both sides of the blade and a new fitted grip.

Please note due to the nature of the repair, stickers around the splice area will be removed.

DSC Cricket offer a repress service. A repress is carried out to harden the face of the cricket bat helping it to withstand damage from repeated ball impact. Pressing your cricket bat compacts the soft fibres which helps to reduce the risk of the bat snapping.

String is used to strengthen the handle whilst also allowing for a smoother base on which to place the cricket bat grip. DSC Cricket can restring your cricket bat to replace frayed or damaged binding.

The shoulders of a cricket bat are not designed to face the impact of a cricket ball, when this occurs it can cause damage in the form of splits and cracks.

The edges of a cricket bat are not designed to face the impact of a cricket ball, so are susceptible to damage including dents, splits and cracks.

The spine of a cricket bat can be vulnerable to damage, causing the willow to split or crack.

The toe of a cricket bat is especially vulnerable. Yorkers can cause substantial damage, whilst tapping down makes the toe of the cricket bat susceptible to cracks, splits and feathering.

DSC Cricket's bat modification service enables us to change the profile of a bat to meet your specifications. If your current bat is too heavy, affecting your play, we can carry out a weight reduction to ensure it is more suitable.

Wood fibres lifting from the face of the cricket bat or severe cracking down one or both edges of the blade may indicate the face is delaminated. The force of a cricket ball hitting a moving cricket bat applies stress to the handle causing the glue to dislodge. This can cause movement between the splice and cricket bat handle which indicates delamination.

A fitted rubber toe guard can protect the toe of your cricket bat from the effects of splits, cracks and feathering. A toe guard also prevents the absorption of moisture which could cause swelling and longer term damage.

Binding is used to add strength to the handle. Binding is also used to strengthen the blade itself. It can add strength to the toe and/or shoulder area, helping to prolong the life of your cricket bat.

Kit includes: Two rubber toe guards, one tube of Evo-Stik impact adhesive and sandpaper.
